The Handsome and Extravagant George Bonnor

George Bonnor played cricket at a time when the game was really evolving. Tours to England were regular and Bonnor was a member of Australian teams in 1880, 1882, 1884, 1886 and 1888. Bonnor was born in the NSW country town of Bathurst and impressed as a batsman at an early age. He was handsome and extravagant and was a player that the cricket public wanted to see play.
